Ballinamuck In 1918,
A Sinn Fein meeting was held in Ballinamuck on Sunday 17th July 1918, with Collins as its main speaker.
Below is a copy of an original police report about that meeting. Collins drilled the local volunteers at this time too.
One of the last battles of the 1798 rebellion was fought at the Battle of Ballinmuck,
and where the final surrender took place.
